Angela: I feel like the best way to convey the hope of what a birth mother knows about us can best be said by a little letter… Mama to Mama…

Dear Mama,

Before I share what I hope for you to know about us, we want to know anything you want to share about YOU. You are the courageous, strong, loving mother of this sweet little one. This child will come into this world because of YOU and your love, your care, your sacrifice. I want you to know that we honor you and always will.

You may be wondering, “Who is this family? What kind of parents would they be to my child?” and many other things. I will tell you from my heart… Any questions you have, we welcome them all. Cultivating relationships is very important to us, and an open adoption is something (if you are willing) we would love to do and explore together. We are a loving family, we are a part of a larger loving family and we are parents to a loving, sweet, tender-hearted toddler who loves people (especially little ones). We have a strong faith in Jesus Christ, and we center our lives, marriage and family around Him. We have created a home full of love, laughter and faith.

We believe being parents is one of the most sacred privileges of our lives. Would we be honored to be chosen to have your child join our family? Absolutely. Would we honor you (whether you would like an open or closed adoption) and tell this child who their amazing birth mother is? Absolutely. Would we honor and respect you always? Absolutely, yes, for all of our days.

With so much love…
