Day 25: Our Hopes for an Open Adoption

Angela: We want a birth mother and family to know that we love the idea of an open adoption. We have learned a lot about how this can be so beautiful and healing for all involved. We also understand that this may be difficult for a birth mother and family, so we would honor and respect whatever they decide. We would love to talk about and explore what that would look like so that it is comfortable and healthy for all involved.

Also… With it being the 25th anniversary of 9/11, I am feeling a bit apprehensive posting today. Words in a post cannot express the feelings I have as I reflect on that day and those moments as events continued to unfold. I chose pictures from this last Independence Day as a very little tribute to those who lost lives and those who survived that day.
