Day 35: Favorite Movie

Angela: I’m in a stage of life where I don’t watch as many movies, but there are a few tried-and-trues I enjoy. One movie I have watched once a year for many years is “Gettysburg”. It is the movie made from my favorite book (Day 19) “The Killer Angels”. It is an accurate telling of the three day Battle of Gettysburg, and the viewer gets to see what happens on both sides of the fight. It was made back in 1993 with a fantastic cast: Martin Sheen, Jeff Daniels, Sam Elliott, Tom Berenger, Stephen Lang… and many more. It’s long, but if you like history, it is VERY well done. This is a movie that was often played in my home growing up. Side note: It’s one of the few war movies that exists that isn’t all blood and gore (rated PG), and I really appreciate that.
