Day 44: What is Something You’re Looking Forward to?

Angela: These days, I’m working really hard at being and staying present. The thing that comes to mind is for Corinne to be able to communicate more with her words. To be clear, I am not wishing away this time with her. As a matter of fact, I am loving this stage where I can see just how much she understands me, even though she is not able to reciprocate verbally. It’s really fun to be able to see her brain work and do all she can to communicate what her needs are with the vocabulary she does have. I say that I’m looking forward to her communicating more with her words because I’m excited to hear what she has to say. Recently, she will get my attention by saying, “Mama, Mama!” with a lot of enthusiasm, and it feels like she gets excited when I ask her a question (guessing what she would like), and I get it right. Such a sweet moment in time, and I’m excited for what the future has in store.
