Day 51: Favorite Zoo Animal

Angela: It’s a toss up between gorillas and elephants. I’m going to share about gorillas. I have a picture of a gorilla in Corinne’s room (that used to be my home office when I worked outside the home before she was born). My sister found it in National Geographic, and we loved it so much, we both got prints (I have it posted below). I learned from the magazine that this beautiful female gorilla was running through a meadow with a pack of her peers when they came upon a swarm of butterflies. The photographer said that the gorillas did the following: some kept running through the meadow while ignoring the butterflies, some continued running while swatting at them, and this one paused and let the butterflies flutter around her. So very peaceful. I also included a picture of a gorilla from a trip to the San Diego Zoo last year…… so regal.
